New story

It's finally up there - long overdue - the story of Chris's healing. Do read it - the necklace 'picture' made an impact on me long after I heard her tell the story.

Coming soon!

Watch this space for a couple of new stories (after a very long gap over the summer!). Chris's story of answered prayer, after doctors found a lump in her left lung, will be here very soon...

New story

Encouragement for anyone feeling the pinch in these times... read this story of the Lord's response to Sally's cry for financial help. No, she doesn't win the lottery - but sometimes the point is just to know he's listening!

Not worrying when there is every reason to

I love the story of Jairus’s daughter. Having told the story to the church’s pre-school group, and read it countless times to my own children from various picture books, it feels like part of me.

Hand it over

What I love about the Thursday Women meetings is that they are meetings with God as well as each other. I also love the creative way he communicates with us. It was another interesting morning on Thursday.

Touch somebody

Happy new year! Look out for a report on an amazing Christmas dinner, attended by some unlikely people, in the next blog. In the meantime, here's how God answered me today:

Why would God heal your headache but not stop a massacre in Rwanda?

Sita has been busy again. Read her very good news here!

I was asked the question above (very politely) by a friend I was talking to at the school gates last week. I really had been healed of a nasty headache the day before.

A bit close for comfort

I am still trying to digest last weekend's events. On Saturday St Barnabas hosted a day for women called 'Clothed with Joy' (see Psalm 30:11) followed by three services on Sunday at which Chad Dedmon spoke and prayed for healing. Many people came away healed, inwardly or outwardly, and many more were left with a lot to think about, myself included.

God emailed me

I emailed God last week…

I didn’t exactly mean to. I’d been rushed off my feet for a few days and couldn’t seem to find time to pray. There was this undercurrent of frustration in the back of my mind - a theme of feeling purposeless to God, just wasting my time on normal life stuff.

Faith

Apologies for the long silence on this site. We are back with renewed enthusiasm, all ready to tell you what we're discovering about God's infinitesimal kindness in our everyday lives, and determined to be more consistent about blogging!

I was chatting to a new friend this week, and she told me that although she goes to church she could never understand how people could be so certain of their faith. I think it possibly seemed arrogant to her to make claims about one religion over another. I could see how much sense her point of view made.
